Top Tier: All-Inclusive OVERNIGHT Halong Cruises - many options

Love that they provide hotel pick up it was extremely helpful especially with my family and I travelling on the go. Check in was easy and quick. Food for lunch and dinner were delicious especially the chicken pho. Only complaint is that we paid for 5 star boat cruise and the room we received was cramped and they shouldn't have tried to fit 3 people in the one room since we barely had space to walk. I also expected the room to be more modern from photos I saw so it was somewhat of let down. Customer service was friendly and loved our guide and how informative he was for excursions. I loved how they had spring roll making class on boat to that was one of highlights of boat ride! Would recommend to book to other family since great family trip, but would pay for and ensure to have nicer room next time.

Transfer from Hanoi was in a limousine bus, very comfortable, accommodation was very clean and comfortable, food was good and varied and cruise was good with some interesting stops and activities. Karaoke is an Vietnam obsession but it didn't go on late.

It was like showing your customers lobsters through your catalogues and then serving them shrimps. While booking I liked the photos of a gigantic cruise with superb facilities. What I got experienced was a small and old cruise with only 20 total rooms with highly stinking toilets, small bed etc. The guide was a part time guide who wasn’t prepared well to explain the narratives about caves and other activities. It was scout 23 hours on Bay and another 5/6 hours spent on surface transport. At the end, the crews had a great shy of relief by driving us out of the cruise ship. The only silver lining about the experience was the food. Though it was a set menu but the menu selection and preparation was superb. Given an opportunity, I’ll not suggest anybody to book this experience.

Overall the experience was very good! The staff were absolutely amazing, freindly and always ready to help. The excursions were good and enjoyable. Daniel our tour guide was excellent. The boat itself was on the older side, but we'll maintained and very clean. Wifi only available in some areas of the boat, only when docked, orherwise no wifi. We had our own data package, so not an issue for us. Tv was not functional probably due to no wifi. The food was very good and the additional cost drinks were not excessively over priced. Coffee and tea after dinner was an additional cost...it should just be included. The extremely noisy dumb waiter during meals was quite annoying. Included transportation to the bay and back to Hanoi was first rate!

Booked the 6+ star cruise. Ended up on Catherine Cruise. Pick up was flawless. The bus was very comfortable. Very skilled driver and funny guide on the bus. 5/5 stars for transportation. If I could do this over I would just book the cruise I wanted directly. That way I am more aware of what I am getting into. Or save money and book package with less stars. All the ships basically did the same thing and have the same experiences. We had excellent service on my ship, our assigned butler was fantastic shout out Van 5/5 stars. She was very attentive. Our room was spacious. When you get there they ask if you want room upgrades. I initially said no but they significantly lowered the price for the upgrade so I did it. The food was pretentious. Buffet food not labeled. Very seafood heavy menu. If you like seafood then it’s more worth it. In summary, either book a cheaper package so you don’t have high expectations, or do your research and book directly the cruise ship you want to be on that way you have more control over the itinerary. Ha long is overcrowded with tourists, if you can, visit Lan Ha or Cat Ba instead.
