Ha Long Bay Fun Tour
I went on this trip alone, but the moment I sat in the bus I met a friend. Our tour guide, Ken, shared some important knowledge about Vietnam and Ha Long Bay.
Before everything started, they answered all of my concerns, kept in touch with me, and confirmed my pick up and drop off details. This was a relief when you’re traveling alone and coming from the airport, and not staying in a hotel.
The bus ride from the Old Quarter was ~3 hours, with two quick stops. We reach Ha Long Bay Port to embark our cruise. It was around an hour getting there.
The view of the limestone islands was such a beauty. We had our lunch inside while we were on our way there. And we went to Titop Mountain where there was also a beach. It was a nice place to chill. You can swim, but only for 45 minutes, so it’s up to you if you’ll just enjoy the view or enjoy the beach too. You can also climb the mountain.
Next on the itinerary is the place where you could either kayak, ride the bamboo (lady) boat, or take a speedboat ride for an extra price. The kayak or bamboo boating area is small and limited, while you could explore and see more with the speedboat ride. It was so fun! I advice doing either bamboo boat (to just sit pretty and enjoy the view) or the speedboat (to enjoy the bay, its waves, the view, and sudden turns). That was unforgettable.
Last was hiking up and down for ~1.5 km at Sunshine Cave. I couldn’t do it because of my physical limitations, so I just stayed in the boat. I’ve met some friends there and we had our girl bonding inside while everyone went outside. Lol.
This was an unforgettable fun trip that I would like to do again when I go back to Vietnam. I hope my review helps you decide if you’ll be on this trip or not.
Thank you, Sir Ken for the memorable and fun tour! Be blessed.
