Ninh Binh Full-Day Tour from Hanoi to Hoa Lu, Tam Coc & Mua Cave Via Boat & Bike

A day trip to nimh binh with Sunny was good. The company had good communication and was able to organise pickup/drop off well. The journeys were fine and bottled water was supplied on the bus. We were asked to bring cash to pay the entry fees for the temples + boat ride. It does not say this in the description (and the company asked us not to in the WhatsApp messages before the trip) but sunny the tour guide heavily implied we should be tipping the boat rowers, on top of the fee we paid to ride the boat. The company sent us communication before hand about not tipping these people, and the website tour description says not to, but then the tour guide said we needed too. There was mixed signals here. The lunch is very average in taste, but it's fine. You're in a big hall with lots of other tour groups and it's a big line to get lunch. Drinks are not included in lunch, including water, so expect to pay extra if you want water at lunch as the bus water is only given out after lunch. Definitely bring snacks to eat on the bus and it's a long day. Sunny really pushed the need to tip him at the end of the tour, saying that we should be giving extra tips to the bus driver too. Overall the trip was fine, the hike and bike + boat ride was good, temple was average, but don't expect much from the lunch food.

We’re so glad we booked this trip to Ninh Binh! It was one of our highlights during our time in Vietnam - the limestone mountains were so beautiful. Sunny, our tour guide was incredible - he shared so much about the history and culture of Vietnam, Hanoi, and Ninh Binh and made this such a fun, memorable experience. The timing was perfect too - we beat the crowds at every stop and got back to Hanoi by 7 pm despite the traffic.

It was an awesome tour, plenty of things to do and you have a lot of time to do it. You don't rush or run between the activities. "Sunny" the tour gay was fantastic and very friendly. I strongly recomend you this tour. It takes about 11 hours from the time of pick up from your hotel, to the drop off. Fantastico tour! Muy recomendado sinceramente para hacer.
